ALL-ON-X

Leave our office with new teeth with a beautiful smile in just one day! All-on-X or Teeth in One Day is a full arch fixed dental replacement option that utilizes 4-6 dental implants to attach a new set of permanent teeth that are secured in place to the implants.
This treatment is the gold standard for patients:

  • With failing teeth in one or both arches
  • Unhappy denture wearers
  • Those in need of full upper or lower fixed teeth.

imageThe final result is a solid base of teeth that are made out of Zirconia fixed into the dental implants. It means lower costs and reduced healing times,  allowing our patients to regain their original youthful smile and original function faster, and more reliably. The All-on-X technique is FDA approved and has a long history of success.

Benefits of All-on-X implants:

  • New teeth in as little as just one day! The entire procedure is completed in one day, including extractions, implant placement, bone grafting and attachment of a new set of teeth.
  • This is the most cost effective full-arch, fixed-in teeth replacement therapy.
  • Patients get back nearly 100 percent of natural chewing power
  • All-on-X immediately improves quality of life and self-confidence!

Who Is A Good Candidate for All-on-X Implants:

  • People with no teeth
  • People with several failing or missing teeth
  • People who are in need of multiple dental implants
  • People who wear dentures

All-on-X procedure:

Consultation: This visit consists of a comprehensive exam and data gathering. We will obtain full medical history, CT scan and virtual/3D models of existing teeth and bite. Then Dr. Tebyanian will discuss the treatment options.

Prior to the surgery, Dr. Tebyanian and the restorative dentist will create a unique treatment plan where the exact position of the implants and final teeth will be virtually planned.

Surgery

  • Anesthesia: Dr. Tebyanian is highly trained and licensed to administer ambulatory anesthesia during the surgery. Since the surgery can take a few hours to complete, most patients desire to be sedated. Each member of our surgical team is trained in assisting with anesthesia during IV sedation, and patients are continuously monitored throughout the surgery.
  • Extraction: All teeth in the arch will be surgically extracted as planned and will start by removing your remaining teeth that are failing along with any diseased or infected tissue from your jaw and gums.
  • Implant placement: Dr. Tebyanian will then place 4-6 implants in the jaw bone as virtually planned prior to the surgery. Each site will then be further augmented with bone graft. Finally, abutments will be placed over each implant and surrounding gum will be trimmed and sutured around the abutments. This will be the new foundation for the full arch custom-made teeth.
  • The dental team will then load the new set of teeth onto the implants.
  • The patient will be then discharged with a fixed set of teeth that are attached to the implants.
  • Healing period: Full healing after surgery will take 3-6 months. This is the time needed for dental implants to fuse to the bone and it differs for each individual.
  • Once healing is complete and all implants are successfully integrated, the restorative dentist will design and make a final prosthesis that is made out of Zirconia.

Some common post surgery issues:

  • Swelling: this is a normal part of surgery and is likely to be around 2-3 days. Simply using an ice pack on your cheek for 20 minutes intermittently following the procedure can be very helpful.
  • Bleeding: Avoid physical activity and place ice packs on the outside of your mouth.
  • Pain: This is generally inevitable and a prescription will be given for pain medicine
  • A few days after surgery, discoloration or bruising near the surgical area may occur. This is normal. After the first 36 hours after the procedure, you can apply moist heat to your cheek.
  • Sore Throat: Your mouth being open most of the time can eventually lead to sore throat, which can make swallowing difficult. This is expected to pass in a few days.

DYNAMIC 3D NAVIGATION FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS

The X-Guide is effectively a 3D navigation system for the surgeon, ensuring accuracy and safety during the implant surgery. In real time, it shows where the drill is; its angle and depth-and also shows the surgeon the path they need to take to ensure the implant is placed exactly where planned. Essentially, it plans the route for the surgeon to follow and the surgeon ensures they are following it.

This results in the ability to deliver patients a more desirable, functional and aesthetic outcome.

At Olney Oral and Facial Surgery Center, complex cases will be treated by Dr. Tebyanian using X-NAV/X-Guide technology.
